Experience grounded in practice, service, and compliance
Afroja began her legal career as a trainee lawyer, gaining practical, court-based experience with prominent law firms. This foundation provided detailed insight into how the legal system operates in practice and the challenges individuals and families face when navigating important decisions about their affairs.
She went on to serve as an officer with the UK Ministry of Justice, supporting vulnerable court users and helping them to access clear, reliable information. This role strengthened her commitment to calm, non-judgmental support and to making legal processes more understandable and less daunting for those who rely on them.
Over more than six years as a freelance legal researcher, Afroja has developed strong expertise in legal analysis and documentation, with particular attention to accuracy, clarity, and evidential detail. This work has been complemented by professional development in data protection, financial crime prevention, and AML training within a fintech consultancy context, equipping her with up-to-date compliance awareness.
Building on this background, Afroja undertook formal estate-planning training and became an accredited Estate Planning Advisor. She now focuses on helping individuals and families in England and Wales put in place Wills, Trusts, and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), providing practical guidance so that clients can make informed choices, protect their loved ones, and record their wishes with confidence.

Alongside concise legal and professional qualifications, Afroja is continually developing her expertise in estate planning and legal practice, including preparation for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE). Her vision is for Codicil Estate Planning & Consultancy to be recognised as a trusted, responsive, and accessible firm, where every client is listened to carefully, treated with respect, and guided through complex decisions in a clear, compliant, and reassuring way.
